'ELECTRIC COUNTERPOINT' - An exploratory piece I created as a personal project. It was really well received, earning mentions in multiple inspiration blogs and a full feature in the bible of motion design 'Stash' magazine. (Click below for the interview)

'IF CARLSBERG MADE ACTION REPLAYS' - A real-time response piece created following an England World Cup defeat. In 3 hours we took the match's key moment, and using slick post-production and editing, changed the critical goal England had conceded into one it saved. The piece got 845,000 organic views...!

And now dear friend, for something completely different.

BACKGROUND: 
My early career focused on film and animation and I headed up a motion design team at a large creative agency. Soon after hiring some brilliant young creatives I noticed a problem. The intensity of agency life meant they were struggling to find the space and energy for some freeform creative play. 

To keep everyone motivated and fulfilled I created an alter ego for the team - 'We Are SBK' - an irreverent motion design studio that showcased its skill through mischief, mayhem and mastery.

RESULT:
By creating a vehicle for experimentation, and negotiating protected time with HR, my team suddenly had the space and the incentive to let loose. The resulting pieces, which ranged from beautiful to ridiculous, earned over 800k organic views and coverage from the creative press and blogosphere.
